PZPS has launched the production of HN78T heat-resistant alloy

The St. Petersburg Precision Alloy Plant has successfully launched the production of KhN78T heat-resistant alloy in accordance with GOST 24982-81.

The austenitic alloy KhN78T contains from 70% to 80% nickel, up to 20% chromium and no more than 6% gland. It has high strength and good plasticity. It is widely used for the manufacture of critical parts and pipes operating at high temperatures (up to 1100℃) without loss of mechanical properties.

During production, the alloy is exposed heat treatment, including hardening at 980 — 1020℃ and subsequent cooling in air, which significantly increases its strength and resistance to temperature effects.

A feature of the production is the use of open-type electric high-temperature furnaces that require active mixing of the alloy during smelting. This process ensures the high quality of the final product.

Due to its high chromium content, the KhN78T alloy has excellent corrosion resistance, which makes it an excellent material for use in various corrosive environments, including oxidizing acids, bases and seawater.

The PZPS plant is proud of its achievements in production development and is pleased to offer its customers high-quality materials for the implementation of current and future projects.
