A new vacuum hood furnace has been put into operation in the PZPS physical laboratory. This significant step made it possible to improve heat treatment processes, which had a positive impact on the quality of the final product and made it possible to increase the efficiency of the production of precision alloys and steels in general.
This furnace is designed for carrying out various thermal treatments (usually annealing) in vacuum at temperatures up to 1500℃. It is an environmentally friendly equipment and has a number of advantages that significantly improve quality heat treatments:
The introduction of a vacuum hood furnace had a positive effect on quality soft magnetic alloys (49K2FA, 27KH, 50N, 50NP, 79NM), reducing coercive force and increasing magnetic permeability and saturation induction. The commissioning of new equipment also led to a significant improvement in the properties of materials that are in demand in modern industry — electrical steels (20895, 20880, 20860) that are always available at our plant.
The installation of a hood furnace is just the beginning of a new phase in our research and development. The PZPS Physical Laboratory is ready for further development and introduction of advanced technologies to achieve outstanding results in science and industry.
