The history of the holiday: from idea to tradition

The emergence of Welder's Day is not an accident, but a logical step in recognizing the importance of this profession.

A few facts:

• The date of the holiday, May 30, is timed to coincide with the decision taken in the USSR in 1958 to develop welding production as a strategic direction.
• Welder Day was first celebrated in 2001 at the initiative of the National Welders Agency of Russia (NASR).
• Today, the holiday has an All-Russian scale and the support of the professional community.

How is Welder's Day celebrated in Russia

In honor of the professional holiday, events are being held throughout the country aimed at increasing the prestige of welding production and sharing experience. It is also a platform for demonstrating achievements and new technologies in welding production.

We produce high-quality cold-rolled strip from the following materials for various industries:

• Soft magnetic alloys:

  • They are used in transformers, relays, sensors, they have excellent magnetic permeability.
  • Weldability: satisfactory, require accurate temperature control.
• Electrical steel:
  
  • 20895, 20880, 20860, 20832, 21895, 21880, 21860, 21832
  • It is used in the manufacture of electric motors, generators, transformers.
  • It welds well especially in shielding gases, subject to preheating.
• Precision alloys with high electrical resistance:
  
  • X15YU5, X23U5, X23YU5T, X20N80N, X15N60N
  • They are used in heating elements, resistors, thermocouples.
  • Weldability is different: some require TIG welding, others require soldering with flux.
• Precision alloys with a given elasticity:
  
  • 17HNGT, 36NHTYU, 40KHNM
  • They are used in instrument making, measuring equipment, and sensitive mechanisms.
  • Welding technology requires precise heating control to maintain elastic properties.
• Corrosion resistant steel:
  
  • 12X18N9, 12X18H10T, 10X17N13M3T
  • These are classic stainless steels, which are in demand in food, chemical, medical industry.
  • They are different good weldability, especially when using TIG or laser welding.
