The quota will amount to 600,000 tons, according to a resolution posted on the official legal information website on December 31, 2022. The document provides for the establishment of an intraquota rate of 5%, but not less than €5 per ton.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation is instructed to distribute the quota between foreign trade participants in accordance with the rules, as well as to issue one-time licenses to these participants to export scrap and ferrous metal waste from Russia to states outside the EAEU, within the scope of the tariff quota distributed in accordance with the rules.
