Record production of precision alloys: achievements and prospects

During the first nine months of 2023 The St. Petersburg Precision Alloy Plant has achieved a record production of alloys, setting new quality standards. This shows that our production processes and development strategies are highly efficient.

The current level of production of precision alloys is the highest since the collapse of the Soviet Union. This achievement underscores not only the technological progress of our plant, but also its ability to adapt to changing market requirements.

Types of manufactured steels and precision alloys

The main production areas of our plant cover various types of materials, including electrical steel, as well as cold rolled strips with different carbon content et heat treatment modes. The company also pays special attention precision alloy smelting, in particular:

• soft magnetic alloys 49K2FA, 27KH, 79NM;
• alloys with a given temperature coefficient of linear expansion 29NK, 36N;
• alloy with specified elastic properties 40KHNM;
• alloy with high electrical resistance X15YU5.

We are also happy to announce that development is ongoing productions new steels and alloys, which strengths the plant's position in the industry and supports the desire of our employees to introduce innovative solutions.

What contributed to a record increase in production

Internal factors played a key role in increasing the production of precision alloys.

• Creating educational et research centers has become the foundation for the continuous development of our employees' skills.
• Investments in modern equipment have increased the efficiency of production processes.
• Attracting new qualified specialists it made it possible to supplement the experience of existing staff in various departments.
• Optimization of logistics processes helped to reduce the delivery time of raw materials and gave a new impetus to increasing production.

Another important aspect contributing to the record growth in the production of precision alloys was the desire for self-sufficiency and import substitution. The challenges created by sanctions and changes in the geopolitical situation have forced the industry to develop rapidly. Industrial enterprises, including PZPS, had to actively develop and implement their own import-substituting technological solutions. This made it possible to reduce dependence on imports and ensure stability in production chains.

The staff of the PZPS plant does not plan to rest on its laurels; the company intends to maintain and strengthen this level of production. Our detailed development strategy and investments in human and technological potential will allow us to continue this impressive journey to new heights of progress.
